Press ALT+C in the library, File Tab, At the bottom of window, Check automatically load sample clips when PD starts. Click OK. Restart Powerdirector 8. The sample files will be in the library when PD starts. For Powerdirector 9: Preferences > Project > Check automatically load sample clips when PD starts.
