Download Phileasson's Secret and then just play the game via the Phileasson's Secret icon / log in totally ignoring the River of Time icon from that point forward (I took mine off the desktop. What you can do is buy Phileasson Secret. Download it and then launch the game via Phileasson Secret and see if your saved games are present.

I have recently been playing the River of Time and managed to get to Hammerberg. I am doing the get the vote quests and while doing Captain Rumpo's quest of cheering his friend up, I think I have run into a bug. I have looked all over the internet and haven't found anything about it, so I am confused. I am supposed to get Farfara's rapier back If you want to try it, look on both this forum and the Drakensang 2 - Phileasson's Secret forum here and copy down all the ways people have said to make it work. Then get the game and try the various methods.
